The ideal candidate will inspire students in grades 6 through 10th to engage deeply with classic and contemporary literature, build critical thinking and writing skills, and foster a lifelong love for reading. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s English curriculum. Teach literary analysis, creative writing, essay composition, and grammar. Foster open discussions, encouraging diverse perspectives on literary texts. Create and assess assignments, projects, and exams fairly and effectively. Support students’ reading comprehension and analytical writing development. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment. Communicate regularly with parents and staff on student progress. Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, English, or related field (Master’s preferred). B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification. 2+ years of teaching experience at the middle or high school level preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Passion for literature, student engagement and education. Preferred Qualities: Familiarity with CBSE curriculum (as applicable). Experience in integrating technology and creative methodologies into teaching. Ability to mentor students in literary competitions or debates.
